Quilt Prep

Prep your quilt for the Longarm

  1. IRON if needed.

2. Measure your quilt top Width & Length. Write it down.

3. Measure your quilt BACK. It must be at least 4 inches larger than the Quilt TOP on each side. (Example: 40″ x 40″ quilt top needs a back measuring 48″ x 48″) Write it down.

4. BATTING must be 2 – 3 inches larger than the quilt TOP on each side. (Example: 40 x 40 quilt top needs batting measuring about 45 x 45). Any unused batting and backing will be returned to you.

5. If you are planning a scalloped or round edge for your quilt, cut it AFTER the quilting is complete. Keep your edges straight for quilting & let us know your plan before we quilt it.

6. Smile……..Your finished quilt is going to look great!
